TIME AND PLACE

City Tour journey last on Tuesday December 30th 2010 at 07.00 a.m until 04.30 p.m around Ponorogo and Madiun. The journey was very happiness and made me relax from my activity everyday.

We are visited at Tegalsari Mosque, Jenang Teguh Rahardjo, Lesoeng Batik Shop, Pos Mode, Sate Tukri Sobikun, Radar Madiun, and Sri Ratu.

Visiting at Tegalsari Mosque

Tegalsari Mosque at Tegalsari village. It is the one of religion destination in Ponorogo Regency. Tegalsari Mosque was build since 1610 and built by Kyai Ageng Besari. The existence of the mosque isn’t Tiban mosque, because it was build. But we can’t blame if people around say Tiban Mosque because they have the stories of ancestors. The mosque is very famous everywhere. Many tourists like visit to Tegalsari mosque. At Ramadan month, Tegalsari mosque crowded with visitors to blessing to God. The mosque reminds us to pray to God more. Let’s come here, you will amaze with it.

Visiting at Jenang Teguh Rahardjo

Jenang Teguh Rahardjo located at Wibisono Street 90 Kepatihan Ponorogo. It is one of typical foods in Ponorogo. Jenang Teguh Rahardjo built since 1982. His grandmother has made jenang in Coper Jetis and good responses who received from many people because has delicious taste. With a minimum investment, she developed business. Famous product from Jenang Teguh Rahardjo is Jenang Bata. It is called because the shape of Jenang is square like a brick box. But the shapes of Jenang make little to facilitate marketing. Initially there are only 3 kinds of Jenang is Jenang Ketan, Jenang Beras, and Jenang Wajik. And in 1991, increase to 13 kinds of Jenang specifically banana jenang, pineapple jenang, jenang krasikan, jenang wijen, mango jenang, jenang tape, tomato jenang, pumpkin jenang and many others. Ingredients for jenang are sugar brown, coconut milk, ketan, rice or flour and other ingredients. Certainly there without preservatives. Safe for consumption. So, you are not afraid and you must try it.

Visiting at Lesoeng Batik Shop

One among various cultures in Ponorogo is Batik. It is located in Jaksa Agung Suprapto 64. Batik has characteristic strong colour, and motif of Batik which characterize Ponorogo with Reyog. Motif of Batik such as Tahu tempe, Gebyar Ponorogo, Parang Baris, bunga pacar, Parang cecek, Kawung, and other design. Batik Ponorogo use canting to make batik. At Lesoeng Batik Shop you can find many kinds of batik Ponorogo and the models up to date. At Lesoeng you are not only find women clothes but you can find men clothes for Batik.

Visiting at Pos Mode

Pos Mode is one of fashion market largest in Ponorogo. And it is located on corner of Sultan Agung Street. It is very strategic. There are many clothes mode. Such as dresses, pants, trousers, t-shirt, shirt, blouses, sweaters, jackets, rukuh, baby clothes, accessories and many others than girl or boy. Easily accessible and affordable price if you want to buy some clothes. We just stay at the moment because we must continue our journey.

Visiting at Sate Tukri Sobikun

You can find Sate Tukri Sobikun on Lawu Street 60 or ordinary called Gang Sate. You can enjoy it with affordable price because Sate Tukri Sobikun has delicious taste. If you want, you can bring home too and it is wrapped with bamboo matting (Besek: Javanese.)

Visiting at Radar Madiun

Radar Madiun is one of place which newspaper creation and event organization. It is still part of Jawa Post Group. We can enjoy our visit there. We obtain some sciences about journalist, how to print newspapers, how to make the layout of newspaper. It was the first time we come there. And it was very memorable for us. Thank to Radar Madiun.

Visiting at Sri Ratu

Sri Ratu is one of Departement Store in Madiun. It is large shop. It is located in Pahlawan Street Madiun. In front of Sri Ratu is Merdeka Hotel and Timbul Jaya Plaza or Giant. We are eating in Gelato on Sri Ratu. And if you want, you can shop some kinds of clothes, foods, and soon. You can also meet the place of child play.
